Sauron Lord of the Rings Fountain Pen Set

I am geekfully excited to present the Sauron Lord of the Rings fountain pen and ink set from Ferris Wheel Press. This is their Bijou fountain pen featuring one of the biggest baddies Sauron himself.

There are 3 different character themed sets available in this pen. (Check links below!) This pen is unique in that it includes not only a medium nib but also a calligraphy nib! So with this set you receive a Sauron Bijou fountain pen, medium nib, calligraphy nib, and the Shadows of Mordor ink!

The pen has a size 5 nib and so is smaller than what I usually write with. I found that I like the effect of the smaller nib. It allows for smaller writing lines and strokes.

One thing about the body style of the Bijou that I wasn’t expecting it that it gives a real vintage look and feel. It reminds me so much of pens my great-great grandmother had. I can’t get over the One Ring cigar band around the cap. It makes this geeky gal’s heart happy!

I was particularly delighted with the comfort and ease of the nib. The medium nib has excellent flow. The calligraphy nib is also lovely but I think I need some practice before I get the hang of making my writing look pretty.

The Shadows of Mordor fountain pen ink is STUNNING. I love the color, the consistency and the shimmer is off the charts gorgeous. I feel like I’m writing with flowing magma. Much like writing with the Frozen Fortress ink and it feeling like writing with ice.

The finish of the pen is lovely and on theme for Lord of the Rings. I would love to have all 3 sets. And am definitely needing the additional ink colors!
