Ambrosia Indulgence Fountain Pen Ink : Ferris Wheel Press

Ambrosia Indulgence is a new ink from Ferris Wheel Press’ “FerriTales” fountain pen ink collection. I have been collecting these miniature inks for a few years now and have thoroughly enjoyed them! I am particularly excited to try this King Midas themed ink with its red base and gold shimmer. I have been wanting more red and gold themed inks recently. I suppose fall might be influencing that wish to some degree!

After swabbing, spattering, and writing on three different papers the red in the ink is more of a rose or light wine color than a deep crimson red. On the Onion Skin Journal paper and the Tomoe River Paper it showed up much the same in color and texture. As per usual the ink spread more on the Onion Skin Journal paper than the Tomoe River Paper. I added the Endless Tear-Off Notepad (given to me by A Pen Lover’s Paradise) to the ink testing, and interestingly enough the ink was duller and pinker on this paper. It is a very beautiful and romantic looking ink. The gold shimmer shows up well on each paper. Drying time was the fastest on the Endless paper.

I think this is a gorgeous ink to be using heading into fall, and would be most lovely after Christmas, heading into Valentine’s!
