Freewrite Smart Typewriter Unboxing : E-Ink Typewriter from Astrohaus

I have a new product to unbox that I am so excited to try! A product that is analog in spirit, with the convenience of being updated for the digital writing age. A Freewrite Smart Typewriter.

This is a product I have been wanting to try for years and just could not justify purchasing one given the fact that I was not really a writer. After working with a few authors on world building recently, I realized that my writing everything down (especially in a more abstract manner) was holding up progress at the point we had reached. I ended up being much more involved with this one series, and this one author only works in digital! (As they should because they are seriously effective with it!) Anyway, long story short, this Freewrite Smart Typewriter is the compromise between my fountain pen writing, typewriter typing, and their need for digital files for ease of use.

I will be keeping everyone updated on how I like the device (or don’t like it.) And if it has solved some of my writing hang ups. I am curious to see how the keyboard handles for me as I have lost feeling in a good section of one of my left fingers, which has made my typing experience less efficient.

I have tried the Traveler Freewrite model and liked it (especially the portability) but the keys were more flush, and so I thought the more raised design of the Smart Typewriter Original model would be a wiser choice for me. I also love the larger profile. As a typewriter user that appeals to me highly!
