Shuttle Dip Pen : Colorverse

The new Shuttle Dip Pen from Colorverse in aluminum with the long handle is the latest addition to my Pen collection. I have a resolution to find a favorite Dip pen this year and this aluminum metal pen is blasting off my collection!

First impressions weren’t the best. The nib had sharp edges and tiny burs almost cutting through the paper as I wrote.

I broke out the micro mesh to try and clean up the unfinished aspects of the nib without altering the function. After a few passes with the micro mesh It is definitely better. I don’t want to do sand off too much too quickly.

I feel like for the money this product should come out of the box ready to go. The handle is nice but the grip section hasn’t impressed me yet. It’s a little slippery and when the pen is dipped the ink runs up the lines in the grip.

I had bought this to be an everyday writer. I’ll keep using it, and hopefully work out the kinks.
